About Our Warranty

New Life Service Company, Inc. warrants our repair work on leather furniture for a period of six months from the date of invoice. There are several reasons for this warranty period.
First, brand new leather furniture, never used, is generally warranted for a period of one year from the manufacturer. 
Second, used leather furniture is somewhat absorptive and has been exposed to various possible contaminants during it’s life. Human and pet body oils, food or drink spills, and possible wrong cleaners or conditioners can adversely affect repair and refinishing work on leather. 
Third, leather is tanned at a specific pH value. If that value is affected a deterioration process begins which can lead to holes or tears occurring in the leather if the value is affected enough. 
Sometimes, age and use can affect the pH value especially in lower grade leathers and repair and refinishing processes can be affected by this. However, it’s impossible to measure and not always able to visibly tell what condition the pH value is in. It may be fine on some panels of the furniture but not good on others.  Usually, the seat bottoms of any furniture take the most abuse from wear and use. If problems do occur with the refinishing process it usually happens here.
In the event of a problem such as cracking or peeling happening during the warranty period, we will come back out at no charge and repair the problem. After the six month warranty, we can still repair the problem but there would be a charge based on the extent of the problem.
